Circles into Polar Bears

Materials:
- Black Markers
- Glue
- Scissors
- Scrap Construction Paper

Each child will need:
(1) 12" x 12" blue construction paper
(1) 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" white construction paper
(2) 4" x 4" white construction paper
(1) 11" x 3" white construction paper
(1) 5" x 5" gray construction paper

I saw a cute little polar bear on Splish Splash Splatter Art, and decided to make it a nice little cutting, circle drawing, and gluing review for my return from maternity.

All students were asked to draw a circle free hand onto each of the squares listed above.
(face)

(ears)

(snout mouth area?)

They they drew a half circle/ "bump" onto the 11" x 3" paper.

Looking at my exemplar, they were to assemble the circles to resemble a polar bear. After I check their arrangements, they glue onto the blue paper.

Last, they added ear muffs and a scarf with scrap construction paper and drew in the face and connected the ear muffs with a marker.

These bears are ready for winter!
