Castles

 Materials:
- Tempera Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Construction Paper
- Sponges
- Glue
- Scissors

1. Paint a background for your castle.

2. Using rectangles and squares, create a castle. Sometimes if you're working with a young group of students, it's a good idea to have a variety of sizes of square and rectangle tracers they can use to help them start off. Add flags, windows, and a door.

I showed the students how to glue their door on so that it opened up.

3. Using a sponge, print some bricks on.

4. Glue castle onto background.
