Quick Cherry Blossoms

Materials:
- Pop bottles (we used the 20 oz.)
- Pink and Black Tempera Paint
- Paintbrush
- Drawing Paper

I had one of those days where we finished a project early and had about half the class to spare. Instead of having a classful of students doing "done" stuff... I remembered this simple printmaking project on Pinterest! The original post can also be found at alphamom.

It's basically what you see in the above picture. I did these with 2nd graders, and I do admit, with a little planning and thinking ahead of time, these could have turned out neater- but nonetheless, I think they turned out pretty nice!

  1. I saw these on Pinterest too, I might try them with my 3rd graders (the only class I will be seeing for the next 3 weeks due to state testing)!
Anything to do with paint, they're sold.
